Magnification

The Higher the Magnification - The More Detail You'll See

Magnification can represent combinations of lenses including objective, ocular, and auxiliary lenses. The magnification ranges described here may include these combinations.

Compound Microscopes may include additional eyepieces (ocular lenses) to expand the total magnification range.

Stereo and other Inspection Microscopes may include additional eyepieces and auxiliary lenses including Barlow lenses to expand the total magnification range.

Camera Types

Various types of cameras are available. Cameras intended to be used with computers will use USB, wi-fi, or LAN to connect to the computer, and typically include specialized software. Cameras with HDMI, VGA, or analog video interfaces can be attached directly to a compatible display device such as a monitor or television, and do not require a computer to operate.

Camera Pixels

Also referred to as camera resolution, the number of pixels represents the maximum size of images which can be displayed or recorded by a camera. The value is displayed using MP (megapixels).

OMAX Digital Microscopes integrate advanced digital-imaging with precision optical-microscopy. Digital-integration promotes uniformity, and presents a simplified method for setting up and using microscopes.
OMAX provides a large range of solutions for education, research, and industry. Building on industry standards, we provide a full range of accessories to suit your needs.

The MD810 provides all of the essential functionality needed in the classroom or lab for common microscopy applications. The digital-integrated head offers an amazing amount of flexibility, allowing for simultaneous viewing through the eyepiece and on a computer. A professional software platform for Windows is provided to capture photos and video, with editing tools to optimize images, and aid in analysis. The imaging process is further enhanced by achromatic color-corrected optics which provide sharp, clear images over a wide range of magnifications. Coaxial focus, and mechanical stage-movements provide precision and ease.

Digital-Integrated Head

The MD810 series microscope uses a monocular viewing head. The ocular tube is angled at 45° and can be rotated 360° to accommodate sitting or standing. The microscope's 1.3MP camera is built into the head, with a USB port located on the back of the head for connecting to a computer. Once the microscope is connected to a computer, the included software can be used to capture and process photos and videos.

Optics

The microscope is equipped with four objective lenses mounted on a rotating turret to quickly move through the various magnifications. The lenses use DIN international standards, and are achromatically corrected to improve clarity and color accuracy. They provide a magnification range from 10X to 1000X when used with the standard 10X eyepiece, ideal for viewing a wide range of specimens including cellular structures and bacteria. The integrated camera is not affected by the eyepiece, and captures images based on the objective magnification.

Specimen Stage

The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides. The stage's low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Variable-intensity LED lighting offers bright, daylight-balanced illumination to produce high-contrast, color-correct images.

They provide a magnification range from 10X to 1000X when used with the standard 10X eyepieces, ideal for viewing a wide range of specimens including cellular structures and bacteria. An additional 20X eyepiece is included to expand the maximum magnification to 2000X.
